Jack Kaniak, EMAB Vice-President and long-time Board member, passed away in Edmonton on May 25, 2023. Jack was a valued friend and colleague, a passionate advocate for environmental stewardship at the Diavik mine, a source of Traditional Knowledge / Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and an active contributor to EMAB deliberations. Jack first joined the Board in 2015. He will be missed by his fellow Board members and EMAB staff. We send our condolences to his family and all those who knew him.
