On February 27 EMAB staff and Directors travelled to Behchokǫ̀ to hold Day 1 of our Board Meeting. The meeting was held in the new Sportsplex building in Rae. The Environmental Specialist went to Chief Jimmy Bruneau Regional High School in Edzo to give a presentation to the high school students on EMAB. The presentation focused on who EMAB is, what we do, and the environmental monitoring programs that Diavik does. Afterwards, the students played a game with the opportunity to win prizes. EMAB also planned to host a community update in the evening, after our meeting, however due to numerous other meetings being held on the same day, no one attended. Staff and Directors travelled back to Yellowknife that night.
